Christmas Lights
I need Christmas lights to string across the street. Who has some? Can you borrow some from a friend/family member?
Eight more days
Two Saturdays from now will be the 18th. Are we ready? Who's brining what...food, drinks, games? Mike 3436 may be bringing his beanbag game again...thanks Mike!

Summer Drinks
How about some unique cool summer drinks. Recently, Shannon (3426) hosted a porch party and served a gin and Earl Grey tea drink and it was fabulous. Anybody have similar ideas?

Congrats to Mike and Racheal
Mike and Racheal (3433) are now proud first time parents. Mighty Wyatt Reynolds is about a week old now and is doing fine. Congrats and just in time for the block party!

The check has been cashed
The city has cashed the block party permit check which means a lot. Proof that they got it. Last year they lost the paperwork on me after cashing the check.

Is anyone else having problems with Blogger?
I can't seem to post comments to other people's posts. I click on the comment button; select "Google Account" as my profile (I also tried "Name/URL"); type in my comment and hit "Post Comment" and nothing happens - ? Since first joining last year, I've never been able to get this to work.
Also, I'm not receiving email notifications. Maybe it's a Mac thing?

No plasticware please
For the past two parties Nancy has provided us with generous amounts of plates, cups, and plastic utensils. I've saved what was left over from the last two parties and I think we're good 'til 2015. If you see her, let her know that we're all set for this party. Thanks.
Welcome to the block Elizabeth
Elizabeth (3422) is our newest neighbor and has had a constant smile and spring in her step since realizing that she lives on the greatest block in the city.
(This might be a good time to talk her into paying for all of the booze).
Welcome to Osmond Street Elizabeth!

Application mailed
On Friday, I mailed off the application to the city for permission to block the street. I'm sure there'll be no issues.

1 more signature to go
Just one more signature to go and I'll send in the permit to block the street.

Christmas lights
I'm thinking we could string Christmas lights across the street for ambiance and I can block the light from the ugly street light. Who has lights to donate?

Saturday the 18th
Saturday the 18th seems to be the popular day but someone always gets hurt.
Last year, Dave, Matt, and Becky 3425 (not to be confused with Becky of Barclay or Becky 3417) weren't free. This year Mary Ann can't make the 18th but can make the 11th which Mario, Allison, and Sophia can't make.
And somehow Dave and Matt are free on a Saturday. It a Festivus miracle!
We need a celebratory name for the parties...Let us celebrate Osmivus? or Holy Osmond? or Osfest? or Happy Osblock? or Fat Osmond? or Osmond Equinox?

Summer 2011 Block Party!
Just thought I'd initiate the post for the 2nd Annual Osmond Street Block Party! It's sure to surpass even last year's... rumors of ice sculptures, sand boxes and mystery projects abound...
